Hand Dryer Warranty Guide 101
Here’s What You Need To Know
Commercial hand dryers are backed by a manufacturer's warranty, similar to cars and other electrical appliances. The specific warranty information for your hand dryer can be found in the product spec sheet located on our website and in the owner's manual. Below, we’ve provided a general overview to help you better understand your hand dryer’s warranty to unlock additional savings. All purchases from us are backed by the manufacturer’s warranty, our 60-day return policy, and after-sales support.
1. Warranty Duration
Manufacturer warranties are valid for a specified duration, often 5-10 years, depending on the brand and model of the hand dryer. The XLERATOR by Excel Dryer has a 7-year warranty. World Dryer offers a 10-year warranty. And the Dyson Airblade has a 5-year warranty.
2. Warranty Coverage
Warranties typically cover general product defects due to materials and workmanship, under normal use. Manufacturers may also specify warranty coverage and durations for specific parts. Therefore, a hand dryer may have a 10-year limited warranty with a 5 year warranty for the motor and sensor and a 3-year warranty for the motor brushes. They often do not cover damage resulting from misuse, abuse, vandalism, or improper installation. Please read the warranty terms and conditions provided by the manufacturer to better understand the coverage and any limitations or exclusions.
3. Register Your Hand Dryer to Activate the Warranty
Some manufacturers, like Dyson, require you to go to their website and register your hand dryer to activate the warranty. This information will be in the owner’s manual and on our website in the product description and spec sheet. Make sure to complete any necessary registration process promptly after you’ve received and installed your new hand dryer.
4. Filing a Warranty Claim for Repair or Replacement
If the hand dryer malfunctions or fails within the warranty period due to covered issues, the manufacturer will repair or replace the unit free of charge. Customers can file a warranty claim by contacting the manufacturer via phone and email, or by submitting a claim through their website. To file a warranty claim, you’ll need to provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice, to demonstrate that the unit is still within the warranty period. Please keep a copy of our receipt stored in your email or files for future reference.
